Frequently asked questions

Who runs the contest?

The Brass Band Association of New Zealand (BBANZ) runs the contest.  They take care of entries, timetables, registrations, adjudications and results. If you have any questions relating to the contest in these areas, please contact BBANZ.

What does the contest committee do?

The contest committee supports BBANZ by organising the event.  They take care of the venues, with everything from providing percussion for the set tests, selling tickets and programmes, volunteer staff, to escorting bands from warm-up rooms to the back stage and out again.

The contest committee looks after sponsors, trade stands and any social activities.
